Job summary

Worth is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the integrations stack, connecting Worth to the outside world. You will design and operate the data integrations powering Worth's crosswalking, public API, and customer adapters across banks and fintech partners.

In this hands-on role, you will break down complex partner requirements into clean technical plans, write production-grade code, and lead architectural improvements across backend and frontend components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development in production
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and SDKs
• Strong grounding in data modeling and integration patterns

Responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of major integrations and subsystems from evaluation to production
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party data providers and abstract behind internal contracts
• Design, evolve, and operate Worth's public APIs and SDKs with versioning and security
• Translate ambiguous specs into clear technical designs and tradeoffs
• Write high-quality production code across backend and frontend as needed (Node.js/TS/Nest.js/React)
• Design schemas for vendor responses and crosswalking metadata with indexing and performance in mind
• Create event-driven workflows with Kafka and Redis for enrichment, retries, and backpressure
• Optimize slow queries and bottlenecks in high-throughput pipelines
• Deploy, monitor, and debug containerized services in Kubernetes with runbooks
• Lead refactors toward modular, testable adapters and coach teammates
• Handle production incidents methodically and improve resiliency and observability
• Mentor through code reviews and cross-team collaboration on integration patterns and API design
• Communicate tradeoffs clearly to engineering, product, partnerships, and customers
