Job summary

Justworks, based in New York City, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help evolve our platform and API. You will own large-scale integrations, working across platform infrastructure, product integrations, and partner-facing systems to translate customer and business needs into durable technical solutions.

You will collaborate with external partners, drive fast, iterative releases, and mentor teammates while upholding engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional hands-on software engineering experience.
• Mastery of modern server side languages, Golang is a plus but not required
• Proficiency with SQL
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure management, preferably AWS
• Experience supporting and mentoring other engineers and acting as a “force multiplier”
• Experience working closely with designers and product managers

Responsibilities

• Own large-scale projects from technical discovery through launch, with a focus on quick, iterative release and customer impact
• Promote engineering excellence through technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and mentorship
• Collaborate with external partners to understand integration needs and deliver thoughtful, scalable solutions
• Build and improve platform infrastructure that makes partner integrations faster, safer, and easier to scale
