Job summary
LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Flyreel Engineering team, focused on property intelligence and risk assessment solutions for the insurance industry. You will design, develop, and mentor others across cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven products.
The role requires 5+ years in software engineering, strong knowledge of Agile/Waterfall, and expertise in multiple data storage subsystems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
- Strong proficiency with data manipulation and optimization techniques.
- Understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling and multiple data storage subsystems.
- Experience with design and review of complex data models and software components.
Responsibilities
- Interface with stakeholders to finalize requirements.
- Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
- Translate product requirements into software designs with the team.
- Drive development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
- Operate in Agile/Waterfall environments and collaborate with key stakeholders.
- Resolve complex technical issues and complete advanced bug fixes.
- Mentor entry-level engineers on development methodologies.
- Stay updated with new technology developments.
- Design and work with complex data models.
- Guide less-senior developers on optimization techniques.
