Visionist, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer - Inference for our largest PRIME contract in Laurel, MD. The role centers on deploying inference models to support mission-critical users and translating goals into engineering outcomes.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across teams to build scalable infra, and drive high-quality inference services while joining a 100% employee-owned culture with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 12+ years in software development.
• Strong Python experience and modern programming languages.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent).
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead engineering initiatives.

Requirements for your new career...

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 12 years of experience in software development
• Experience with Python and/or other modern programming languages
• Experience with Argo CD and/or other CI/CD frameworks
• Experience with Kubernetes/Helm
• Experience with AWS or other cloud service providers
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor other engineers
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to balance hands-on engineering with leadership and coordination responsibilities

Salary range: $170,000 - $240,000
