Job summary

Valar Atomics in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the operating system for our nuclear-focused software footprint. You will work with reactor, manufacturing, licensing, and operations teams to design, develop, and deploy tooling that accelerates design, fabrication, and plant operations.

The role requires deep experience in full-stack development, cloud deployments, and AI-assisted coding, with regular travel to our Utah pilot plant.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development and production deployment experience.
• Experience designing scalable systems and leading tech decisions.
• Experience building web apps end-to-end and UI experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build full-stack software systems and infrastructure.
• Create fast web interfaces used daily by engineers and operators.
• Integrate PLM, ERP, MES, and other systems via APIs and messaging.
• Own deployment, observability, and on-call for services.
• Mentor engineers and lead design/code reviews.
