Soundtrace in Cincinnati, OH or remote (US) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead building the platform used by thousands of workers for hearing health. You will own major features from design through production, shape the technical direction, and mentor other engineers.

The role involves full-stack work across frontend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure, collaborating with product, design, and clinical teams, and delivering reliable, well-tested code with CI/CD and monitoring

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and server-side development.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Ownership of features from design to production.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup.
• Good communication with non-technical teammates.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own major features across web and mobile applications.
• Work across the full stack of a modern web platform — frontend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Set the technical direction on projects and mentor other engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and clinical teams.
• Ship code to production regularly with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Help maintain and improve our testing, CI/CD, and monitoring systems.
