Job summary

the company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join the OPX team within the Developer Experience org. You will design automated reliability and self-healing systems, own incident tooling, and evolve observability for real-time visibility into systems and latency.

You will collaborate with product engineering, mentor engineers, and drive best practices to run services reliably, with a focus on AI-driven automation and reducing on-call toil across a globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience designing and building products in a software engineering team.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years on infrastructure and/or platform engineering focused teams.
Expertise in Observability, reliability, and operational data analysis.
Experience with monitoring frameworks and automated response workflows.
Experience with AI-driven automation across the SDLC and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

Design and build automated reliability and self-healing systems for production at scale.
Own and improve incident management tooling and on-call health.
Develop and evolve observability infrastructure including SLOs and performance monitoring.
Contribute to AI-driven operational tooling and autonomous remediation efforts.
Drive incident prevention by removing operational toil and improving on-call experiences.
Partner with product engineering teams to diagnose reliability gaps and reduce burden.
