Job summary

Prove is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale identity verification software. You will design high-performance microservices, mentor engineers, and contribute to architecture decisions across data engineering and phone-number intelligence teams.

You will work on cloud-native systems, leverage Java, SQL/NoSQL, and modern tech like TypeScript and React, with a strong emphasis on reliability, security, and fraud prevention. Remote-friendly within the US.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with a strong OO design background.
• Experience designing event-driven, robust, scalable systems and cloud-native microservices.
• Hands-on with public clouds (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• BS in CS or equivalent practical experience; strong communication and collaboration.
• Preferred: TypeScript/React, Kafka, Flink, CI/CD, and ML integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices in a cloud-native, distributed architecture.
• Mentor teammates, review code, and drive end-to-end feature ownership.
• Solve complex production issues and contribute RFCs for new solutions.
• Collaborate across teams on architecture, data, and identity services roadmap.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and advocate engineering best practices.
