Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the EnterpriseRx platform with architectural guidance and hands-on coding. You will mentor peers, participate in Agile ceremonies, and collaborate with Product, QA, and Operations to deliver scalable, high-quality software.

The role focuses on security remediation, microservices for Central Fill Management, and Drug Utilization Reviews, using Angular, Spring Boot, SQL, Azure, and Docker.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Typically 7+ years of relevant software-engineering experience; Master’s plus 4+ years also acceptable.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design and RESTful services using Java (17/21+), Spring Boot, and Gradle.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for engineering teams through the full development lifecycle.
• Apply deep technical expertise to solve complex engineering challenges and mentor peers.
• Lead technical design reviews and code reviews across applications and functional areas.
• Develop and review User Stories; write and run unit/integration tests to verify functionality.
• Remediate defects thoroughly and improve surrounding code quality.
