Job summary

Riverside Research is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to help develop high-performance, large-scale electromagnetic analysis tools. You will work with a diverse team of physicists, engineers, and mathematicians to translate complex models into efficient code, mentor junior developers, and advance best practices in testing and software development.

Candidates must be eligible for TS/SCI clearance, with a strong background in C/C++, Python, and HPC, and be willing to collaborate across

Qualifications

• Degree in software-related field with substantial software development experience.
• 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6+ with a Master’s.
• 3+ years of PhD-level experience acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and CI.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, C, C++, Fortran).
• Experience in Linux/Windows software development, testing, and HPC contexts.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, development, testing, deployment and debugging of high performance CEM software.
• Drive software quality through design reviews, peer reviews, automated testing and CI pipelines.
• Architect and implement scalable features and modernize legacy code using best practices.
• Contribute to development best practices, training materials, and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicists, RF engineers, and mathematicians to translate models into code.
• Mentor junior developers and promote rigorous engineering standards.
• Stay informed on advancements in computational tools and software engineering.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
