Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Analytics Compute Platform Team in San Francisco. You will design core parts of the query/compute engine and evolve the compute API to support a more generic table across product lines.

You will collaborate with data management, marketing analytics, and product teams to deliver a fast, reliable analytics stack with scalable compute and data models.

Qualifications

• Strong backend or distributed-systems experience, ideally touching OLAP databases, query engines, or data infrastructure.
• Experience with SQL, query planning/execution, or building APIs used by multiple teams.
• Ability to balance flexibility, performance, and ease of use with deliberate tradeoffs.
• Proven track record owning ambiguous, cross-team projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core parts of the query/compute engine powering analytics.
• Evolve the compute API and semantic layer for a more generic table.
• Unify and evolve the core data model alongside event and non-event data.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of query planning and execution.
• Collaborate across teams to shape the compute layer to their needs.
• Take ownership of projects end-to-end from design through rollout.
