Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to dive into the Nova OLAP engine, drive improvements in query execution, storage formats, and distributed compute, and own reliability and cost-efficiency across the infrastructure.

You will work with a team of engineers to optimize performance, contribute to architecture decisions, and ship features that power product experiences for thousands of enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience in backend or infrastructure engineering with exposure to distributed data systems.
• Hands-on experience building or extending distributed data systems—query engines, columnar storage, data processing frameworks.
• Experience improving cost or performance on cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, network).
• Strong CS fundamentals: distributed systems, data structures, concurrency, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve components of a modern OLAP system across query execution and storage.
• Drive cost and performance improvements for cloud infrastructure while maintaining latency.
• Enhance reliability and lead on-call incident response and operational tooling.
• Collaborate with Product, Middleware, Data Pipeline, and other teams to deliver customer value.
