Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable data solutions. You will architect end-to-end integrations bridging cloud-native SaaS, Epic EMR, and the Enterprise Data Platform to optimize payer metadata and automate payer contracts.

You will lead cross-functional teams, review code, apply AI/ML to improve automation, and create clear design docs to enable self-service platform access. This is a full-time on-site role in Illinois with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for cloud/on-prem data warehousing.
• Experience troubleshooting data issues.
• Performance tuning and optimization experience.
• Willingness to drive process improvements and own deliverables.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end integration patterns across cloud-native SaaS, Epic EMR, and Enterprise Data Platform.
• Ensure reliability and scalability of the integration layer through testing and peer reviews.
• Act as a technical consultant to Product and Business leads; refine requirements and patterns.
• Incorporate AI/ML to drive smarter automation in development processes.
• Create architecture diagrams and governance docs for self-service platform readiness.
• Thrives in ambiguity and proactively asks stakeholders clarifying questions.
