Job summary

Space Ground System Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the development of common ground software for satellite command, control and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities include leading a small team of developers, designing and implementing software in C/C++/Golang on RHEL, and applying agile practices to adapt to changing requirements. Candidates should have DoD Secret clearance, U.S.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. citizen required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/IT.
• 10+ years of software engineering in a Linux environment.
• Proficient in C, C++, Python.
• Proficient with UI development.
• Solid understanding of networking and TCP/IP protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for large-scale command and control systems.
• Lead a small team of developers.
• Apply agile development practices to adapt to changing requirements and schedules.
• Troubleshoot and report software anomalies.
• Work in a team environment with leadership responsibilities.
