Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join the AMRS Trading Engines team within Global Equities Cash Technology. You will help build a world-class electronic trading platform across global markets, specializing in low-latency distributed systems and high-performance software engineering.

The role requires 7+ years in software development, expert Java on Linux, and a strong background in latency-sensitive financial systems.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software development experience.
Extensive experience building high-performance Java applications on Linux.
Experience with latency-sensitive financial systems and electronic trading platforms.
Automation-first mindset with CI/CD, automated testing, and shift-left quality practices.
Experience in Agile environments and modern engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver requirements per acceptance criteria and compliance.
Designs and maintains architecture components, interfaces, and solution enablers.
Mentors engineers on CI/CD practices and tooling automation.
Executes story refinement, requirements definition, and delivery estimation.
Performs spikes/prototypes to mitigate risk or test new ideas.
Automates release activities and maintains automated test suites.
Develops core components of trading platform, SOR, and matching engine.
