Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a senior GIS-focused engineer to design and implement advanced ESRI ArcGIS systems, linking front-end and back-end components. You will collaborate with IT management, development teams, and vendors to deliver scalable technology solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of related experience, strong ArcGIS expertise, and the ability to mentor others. The role supports a hybrid work model with travel between MA, CT, and NH as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of related GIS and software development experience.
• Advanced to expert knowledge of ESRI GIS programs and related tools.
• Willingness to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership within teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new systems and features; modify existing systems to adapt to changes.
• Engage with IT management, development teams, and vendors to ensure delivery of technical solutions.
• Drive software change and release management processes and ensure SDLC quality and on-time delivery.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and coach lower‑level engineers.
• Contribute to setting operational goals, plans, and cross‑functional collaboration.
