Google is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the AIR group to advance agent-based software and GenAI capabilities. You will work on large-scale systems, collaborating with researchers and product teams to deploy and evaluate AI-driven software experiences.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, mentorship, and the ability to navigate a matrixed organization while delivering impactful AI-powered solutions for developers and users alike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience in Python.
• 3 years of testing, maintaining, or launching software; 1 year in design/architecture.
• 3 years of ML infrastructure (model deployment, evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
• 1 year of GenAI techniques or related concepts.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Researchers and Product teams to build AI capabilities for SWE Agents.
• Work in startup mode and drive experiments to improve agent quality.
• Identify developer pain points and craft novel user experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and prioritize projects.
