Job summary

McKesson Corporation in Irving, TX is seeking aSenior Software Engineer to lead teams through full development lifecycles, architect scalable solutions, and drive technical strategy. You will mentor engineers, ensure system reliability, security, and observability, and collaborate with product and SRE teams.

This role offers 100% telecommuting within the U.S. and requires work during Central Standard Time business hours.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher in CS/Engineering or data field with six years’ experience, or Master’s with four years’ experience.
Four years’ demonstrated experience in each listed item and area.
Strong coding in Ruby, PHP, .NET, JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, Python and CSS.
Experience with Laravel, CodeIgniter, Flask, Cypress, Jest, Mocha, VueJS, ReactJS, PySpark, AWS, Docker and Databricks.
Experience with multi-tiered web-based systems and data-driven applications.
Proficiency in version control and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

Leads software engineering teams through full development lifecycle and design requirements.
Architects scalable solutions and ensures system interoperability.
Codes solutions independently and mentors peers via reviews, debugging, refactoring.
Establishes standards for quality, release, monitoring, observability, and DR planning.
Identifies security vulnerabilities and aligns with product strategy.
Drives process improvements and collaborates with Product Support, QA, and SREs.
Provides technical guidance and participates in senior leadership discussions; align with CST hours.
