Job summary

AngelList is seeking an Engineering Manager in San Francisco to lead and grow the Nova Product team, owning the TypeScript-based customer experience across subscriptions, data rooms, distributions, capital calls, and the LP wallet. This hands-on, player-coach role emphasizes hiring, roadmap alignment with product and design, and setting the technical vision while staying close enough to unblock the team.

The base salary starts at $240,000+ annually with equity, and we maintain a hybrid in-office

Qualifications

• 2+ years engineering management experience, including hiring and developing engineers.
• Experience shipping customer-facing fintech products with high reliability.
• Strong TypeScript or willingness to learn quickly in a modern stack.
• Excellent collaboration with product and design to deliver roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Own the results of the Nova Product team across subscriptions, data rooms, distributions, capital calls, and LP wallet/portal.
• Grow the team from ~4 to 5-7 engineers and shape the Product group structure as it scales.
• Work with Product, Design, stakeholders, and Foundations engineering to progress the roadmap.
• Set a clear technical direction with senior and staff engineers.
• Maintain high quality across workflows with high stakes and regulatory requirements.
• Stay hands-on enough to unblock the team and provide technical context.
