Job summary

Redwood Trust, Inc. in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build integration solutions linking vendor financial platforms with enterprise systems within Corporate Finance Technology.

Focus on cloud-based integration, workflow automation, and reporting. The ideal candidate has strong Python development skills, experience integrating financial data feeds (Bloomberg, Acadia, FIS), and works in audit‑aware environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience supporting integrations with financial systems and platforms (Bloomberg, Acadia, FIS, Workday, etc.).
• Experience developing RESTful integrations and working with Azure services.
• Familiarity with SOX/audit controls and enterprise data environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between vendor financial platforms and enterprise systems.
• Build automated workflows to streamline financial operations, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Develop Python applications and services for data processing, validation, and automation.
• Design and implement REST API integrations between financial and enterprise systems.
• Partner with Treasury, Capital Markets, Accounting, and Finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support implementation and upgrades of vendor financial applications.
• Monitor production integrations and resolve data quality and processing issues.
• Drive operational efficiency through automation and process optimization.
• Participate in system testing, release management, and production support.
• Document integration architecture, data flows, and technical solutions.
