Redwood Trust is seeking a Technology Business Analyst to support finance transformation initiatives in Charlotte, NC. You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams by gathering requirements, analyzing data, documenting workflows, supporting integrations, and delivering reporting, automation, and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of experience as a BA in Finance Transformation, Treasury Tech, or Financial Systems.
• Strong understanding of core finance/treasury processes (trade capture, margin, funding).
• SQL: intermediate-to-advanced queries to investigate and validate data.
• Python: data analysis, Pandas, light automation and scripts.
• Experience with at least one of Bloomberg TOMS/MARS, Workday, OptiFunder, Acadia Margin Manager, FIS.
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence and Agile delivery methods.
• Excellent stakeholder communication across business, treasury/trading, and tech.
• Background in banking, asset management, mortgage finance or capital markets ops.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, CS, IS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Partner with finance, treasury, and operations stakeholders to map current-state processes.
• Gather, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements for finance systems.
• Create process maps, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Convey requirements to technical teams to ensure alignment.
• Document workflows to support system enhancements.
• Support integrations between front-office, treasury, and subledger systems.
• Define and validate data flows and interface specifications.
• Coordinate with technical teams on integration testing and issue resolution.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to investigate data issues and reconciliations.
• Use Python for data manipulation and lightweight analysis scripts.
• Perform data profiling and quality checks across GL, subledger, and margin data.
• Deliver small fixes and configuration changes independently.
• Support data mapping between front-office/treasury and subledger systems.
• Support design and delivery of reporting and automation for finance stakeholders.
• Design and execute test cases/scripts for UAT, and validate post go-live.
