Job summary

Truist in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test and maintain complex integration services for Wealth Brokerage and Trust. You will collaborate with product, architecture, data, security, operations and vendor teams to ensure secure, observable and compliant integrations across applications and platforms.

The role emphasizes REST APIs, messaging, batch processing, SFTP or managed file transfer, with Python for data transformation when suitable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge of information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure REST APIs, integration services, background processes and reusable components using .NET and C#
• Implement data integration using SQL Server, Azure services, messaging, batch processes and SFTP or managed file transfer
• Analyze and tune API, database, messaging and batch performance while accounting for throughput, latency and capacity
• Collaborate with architecture and platform teams on cloud migration, Azure PaaS patterns and deployment pipelines
• Troubleshoot complex defects and production incidents across application, API, database, identity, network and vendor boundaries
