Waymo LLC seeks a Software Engineer to solve ill-defined problems at the intersection of statistics, machine learning, and scalable systems engineering. You will develop quantitative models for evaluation, build automation to enhance efficiency, and collaborate across teams to drive data-driven decisions.

The role requires 3–5 years with C++, Python, and SQL, plus experience applying ML techniques to large datasets.

Competenze

• BS in Mathematics, Physics, or another quantitative field.
• Experience applying statistical, ML, and mathematical algorithms to large datasets.
• Experience translating research into applied solutions.
• Strong self-motivation and comfort with ambiguity in complex systems.
• 3–5 years of experience with large codebases in C++, Python, and SQL.

• Reduce complex systems to tractable quantitative models.
