Job summary

Route Networking Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, integration, and support of enterprise software solutions across multiple business units. This role combines deep technical expertise with business acumen to deliver scalable, secure applications and to mentor engineers.

You will design APIs and services, modernize legacy systems, build robust data exchanges with ERP/CRM integrations, and partner with stakeholders to translate goals into technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring developers.
• Experience integrating business systems and working with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade software applications and integrations.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop APIs, services, workflows, and user-facing applications that support critical business processes.
• Create clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established development standards.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Design application architectures that prioritize scalability, maintainability, performance, and security.
• Evaluate technologies and frameworks to support business objectives.
• Assist in establishing development standards, architecture patterns, and technical governance.
• Identify opportunities to modernize legacy applications and processes.
• Build and maintain integrations between internal and external systems, including ERP, CRM, EDI, data platforms, and third-party applications.
• Design robust data exchange solutions utilizing APIs, event-driven architectures, and automation platforms.
• Support enterprise initiatives involving Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled business solutions.
