Job summary

Resource Innovations in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Senior Application Software Engineer to join the Grid Management Software division. You will contribute to web-based systems, from requirements gathering to design, implementation, testing and support, focusing on robust interfaces and scalable solutions for utilities and energy resource companies.

The role requires hands-on development with Java, JavaScript, SQL, and modern frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, CS, or related field.
• Must be located in Maricopa County, AZ or willing to relocate.
• Minimum 4‑year experience with implementing and deploying medium to large systems.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, SQL; experience with Oracle 19c or MySQL.
• Strong knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot, JSON, React; JPA/Hibernate; Tomcat.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers, understand business logic and create technical design documents.
• Develop software applications and interfaces using Java, JavaScript, SQL and related technologies.
• Develop solutions to improve user experience while optimizing code and scalability.
• Utilize version control systems like Git/SVN to manage code and deployments.
• Develop and execute unit, regression, and smoke tests for quality.
• Coordinate with customers and product teams to evaluate system interfaces and requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including code comments and API docs.
• Follow best practices for software security and regulatory compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
