Job summary

RTX in Jamestown, ND is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help develop the next generation of aircraft seating software. The role requires C/C++ expertise and DO-178 knowledge, with responsibilities across the software lifecycle and HW/SW integration. You will work with Collins Aerospace Interiors on challenging avionics software in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience in software development, test, and/or integration using C and C++.
• Knowledge of DO-178 is required.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including hardware/software integration.
• Investigate issues and develop solutions with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Collaborate with team across disciplines, internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in program and customer meetings/reviews and support technical decisions.
