Job summary

L3Harris Maritime Power & Energy Solutions (MPES) in Anaheim, CA seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead a team through design, development and system integration of power conversion systems. You will guide software architecture for highly regulated government contracts and collaborate with PMs, customers and engineers.

The role requires embedded real-time software expertise, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with RS-232/RS-485/Ethernet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 6+ years in software design/analysis for power conversion equipment; MS preferred or 4+ years with advanced degree; 10+ years if no degree.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer specifications to define software design requirements.
• Capture and document existing software to meet qualification standards for regulated government contracts.
• Provide software technical leadership for the development team.
• Review project progress and support earned value reporting.
• Drive performance improvements via DevSecOps automation.
• Support new programs from concept through completion.
• Lead Agile sprint/Kanban, sprint planning, and Jira-based workflow.
