Job summary
Serco is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support the Air Force AFLCMC/WAG program at Tinker AFB, OK. The role focuses on software for weapon systems and related equipment, with hands-on development and system analysis.
The ideal candidate holds a Top-Secret clearance with SCI/SAP access, a Master’s degree in engineering (or a BA/BS with 15+ years DoD experience) and recent hands-on software experience, plus travel up to 10% CONUS.
Qualifications
- Active TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI/SAP access
- Master's degree in engineering with 10+ years DoD experience, or Bachelor's with 15 years
- Recent hands-on software development or analysis
- Ability to travel up to 10% CONUS
Responsibilities
- Develop software engineering strategies for weapon systems and subsystems
- Translate user requirements into system requirements for software
- Assess DoD contractor software deliveries
- Analyze software performance deficiencies and recommend fixes
- Audit contractor software configuration and quality controls
- Evaluate proposed design changes and perform system analyses
- Review software architecture and interoperability requirements
- Evaluate test plans and participate in testing
- Support development of program documentation and contractor proposals
- Perform technical risk assessments and mitigation plans
