Job summary

Chenega Military, Intelligence & Operations Support (MIOS) in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain software for government programs.

You will work with Product Owners, architects, and cross-functional teams in an Agile SAFe environment. The role requires strong skills in C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and shell scripting, plus the ability to deliver secure, compliant solutions and effective documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 8+ years of related experience or equivalent
• Experience with C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or shell scripting
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification including Security+ or equivalent
• Must possess TS clearance with SCI access and polygraph
• Background and drug screening must be passed

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and architects to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions
• Participate in SAFe Agile activities including daily coordination, backlog refinement, planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Review requirements, support task execution, and contribute to deployments
• Modify and integrate government off-the-shelf code and open-source software for web applications
• Develop and maintain solutions using C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python and shell scripts as applicable
• Create and document functionality in GitLab and apply DevOps practices within an Agile environment
• Troubleshoot defects, maintain secure code baselines, participate in code reviews, document solutions
• Utilize Jira, Confluence, and other tools for development and delivery
• Maintain system code coverage and support software quality, performance, and improvements
• Create and maintain systems engineering documentation such as version descriptions and diagrams
• Perform other duties as assigned
• This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities
