Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the AFATDS International programs at our Fort Wayne, Indiana office. You will implement software capabilities, analyze and fix defects, and help advance future battlefield C2 systems in Ada and Java.

You'll work in a team, may serve as Scrum Master or sub-team lead, and collaborate with mentors to align with sprint goals while embracing agile practices in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with C++/Java, and development workflows using Git, Jira and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Implement AFATDS software capabilities for new or updated requirements.
• Identify, analyze, and remedy bugs in AFATDS software.
• Plan future capabilities involving AI toolsets and algorithms.
• Work with a mentor on a defined project plan and milestones.
• Act as Scrum Master when needed and coordinate day-to-day tasks.
