Job summary
Sedaro is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen our distributed multi-physics simulation platform. You will advance runtime performance and reliability, contributing to simulations on cloud and edge environments in Arlington, VA or Boston, MA.
Candidates should have 6+ years in software engineering, experience with Rust, performance profiling, and containerized/cloud technologies. You will lead features, optimize parallelism, contribute to QA and documentation, and collaborate across
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience with Rust or comparable compiled languages.
- Experience profiling and optimizing application performance.
- Comfort with containerization and cloud technologies.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Enable increasingly massive distributed simulations.
- Lead development of features for both cloud and edge runtimes.
- Optimize and track performance metrics of simulations.
- Maximize parallelism and caching in build systems and services.
- Develop QA frameworks and maintain high reliability standards.
- Provide feedback and guidance on code reviews and design reviews.
- Sustain internal and external documentation.
- Lead team-wide discussions and research on simulation technology.
