Job summary

Sedaro is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and build the execution engine for our cloud-native workflow orchestration platform. You will enable aerospace teams to run massive simulations across multi-cloud environments, balancing performance, reliability, and cost.

You will write robust APIs, contribute to observability and SLOs, and drive practical, incremental delivery with IaC and CI/CD. This role is in-person in Arlington, VA, with an emphasis on shipping real, impactful tooling.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
6+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
Experience with containerization, container orchestration, and event streams.
Experience with relational and key-value databases.
Experience designing and implementing APIs.
Experience driving performance through observability and/or root cause analysis.
Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language.

Responsibilities

Optimize multi-cloud systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Design and implement system observability with actionable alerting and measurable SLOs.

Proliferating satellite constellations require optimization studies involving unprecedented scale and complexity. You will build the execution engine that enables aerospace teams to run massive simulation campaigns—exploring vast design spaces with the flexibility to handle evolving mission requirements.
