Job summary

Ditto is hiring a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to join our distributed systems team in the United States. You’ll influence system architecture and engineering culture as we scale from startup to global platform.

Design and build distributed systems in Rust, lead Kubernetes-based services on AWS, Azure, and GCP, and mentor engineers across the organization. Remote-friendly, with optional Atlanta office collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience at scale.
• Strong Rust background and systems programming expertise.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to deliver in high-scale production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale distributed systems powering edge-to-cloud capabilities.
• Lead development of Rust services that integrate with Kubernetes and cloud environments.
• Shape system architecture, team practices, and engineering culture.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the org.
• Solve real-time sync, scalability, and fault-tolerance challenges in heterogeneous networks.
