Job summary

Sedaro is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and build the execution engine for our cloud-native workflow orchestration platform. You will enable aerospace teams to run massive simulations across multi-cloud environments, balancing performance, reliability, and cost.

You will write robust APIs, contribute to observability and SLOs, and drive practical, incremental delivery with IaC and CI/CD. This role is in-person in Arlington, VA, with an emphasis on shipping real, impactful tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Experience with containerization, container orchestration, and event streams.
• Experience with relational and key-value databases.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs.
• Experience driving performance through observability and/or root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language.

Responsibilities

• Architect Lean solutions with impactful incremental deliverables.
• Optimize multi-cloud systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Design and implement system observability with actionable alerting and measurable SLOs.
• Drive operational excellence through infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability practices.
• Lead root cause analysis and blameless post-mortem discussions.
