Sedaro is hiring a Lead Modeling & Simulation Engineer to build high-fidelity simulation software powering our aerospace platform. This hands-on role owns projects end-to-end from concept to validation against real-world data.

You will develop scalable tools for complex systems, validate models, and run large-scale studies using cloud compute for uncertainty quantification and optimization, collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applicable engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in physics, applied math, engineering, or similar.
• Proficiency writing software to model complex physical systems.
• Experience with git, automated testing, and software development practices.
• Experience validating simulation models against real-world data.

Responsibilities

• Own technical projects and drive development.
• Develop high-fidelity simulation software and analysis tools for diverse complex systems and validate against real-world data.
• Configure and execute large-scale multi-simulation studies using cloud compute for uncertainty quantification and optimization.
• Perform code reviews and provide technical feedback to other engineering teams.

Sedaro is hiring a Lead Modeling & Simulation Engineer to build the high fidelity simulation software that powers our cutting-edge simulation platform and help transform how aerospace technology is built.

• Team: Modeling & Simulation, reporting to the Team Lead
• Location: In person in Arlington, VA
• Ability to obtain a TS security clearance

What You'll Do

As a Lead Modeling & Simulation Engineer, you will be a hands‑on individual contributor focused on expanding our platform's simulation capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of technical projects and driving development.
• Developing high‑fidelity simulation software and analysis tools for a diverse range of complex systems and validating these models against real‑world data.
• Configuring and executing large‑scale multi‑simulation studies that leverage cloud compute resources for uncertainty quantification, sensitivity analysis, and optimization.
• Performing code review for peers and providing technical feedback and suggestions to other engineering teams to drive platform improvement.
• Supporting contract meetings with technical input and demonstrations to external stakeholders.
