Job summary

U.S. Bank in Charlotte, NC seeks a senior software architect to lead architecture, design, development, and delivery of Digital Assets and Tokenization Platform, focusing on secure, scalable cloud-native microservices built with Java, Spring Boot, REST, and event-driven patterns.

The role requires collaboration with product, architecture, compliance and security, mentoring engineers, and adheres to DDD, API-first, CI/CD, observability, and strong risk-aware practices; a hybrid work arrangement

Qualifications

• Expert in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on with Kafka, messaging platforms, and event streaming.
• Experience with Azure or AWS, Kubernetes, containerization and cloud-native design.
• Familiarity with blockchain tech and tokenization platforms.
• Knowledge of digital asset custody and key management platforms.
• Understanding cryptography, PKI, MPC, HSMs and secure signing.
• Ability to lead architecture reviews and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, development, and delivery of digital asset platform.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, compliance, risk, security, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers through reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and real-time settlement capabilities.
• Drive engineering standards including DDD, API-first, CI/CD, and observability.
