Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to our digital transformation journey. The role focuses on analyzing, designing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-grade software within a security-conscious, agile environment.

You will develop and optimize services for the Digital Assets and Tokenization platform using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native architectures. Collaboration across teams and adherence to DevOps practices are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
• 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture
• Experience with RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
• Experience with Kafka and high-throughput processing environments
• Cloud-native applications using Azure and/or AWS
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and DevSecOps practices
• Familiarity with blockchain and distributed ledger tech is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
• Engineer high-performance payment processing workflows for stablecoin transfer and settlement
• Build and integrate blockchain connectivity services and APIs
• Design and optimize real-time transaction monitoring, ledger synchronization, and settlement workflows
• Promote best practices in software engineering, API-first development, testing, and security
