Job summary

Nationwide Technology seeks a Software Engineer to translate business needs into scalable Java/J2EE solutions using Spring Boot and Groovy/Grails. You will design RESTful APIs, work with microservices, deploy on Tomcat/WebLogic, and integrate with SQL Server/IBM DB2.

AWS migration and DevSecOps practices are part of the delivery lifecycle. You will mentor others, drive cross-team collaboration, and ensure secure, high-quality software delivery, reporting to a Technology Manager/Director.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Six or more years of programming, software engineering or systems analysis experience.
• Three years of experience in project management is preferred.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Apply secure software and systems engineering practices across the delivery lifecycle.
• Mentor and train team members on design techniques, tools, and coding standards.
• Provide strategic technical advice to achieve business and technology goals.
• Drive cross-collaboration and execution of projects across multiple teams.
• Analyze, develop, test, debug, document, and deploy moderately complex software.
• Champion DevSecOps practices to improve quality, security, automation, and delivery.
• Manage multiple project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
