Job summary

Freddie Mac is seeking an experienced DevOps/Cloud Engineer to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for microservices on AWS EKS and OpenShift. You will implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes tools, and integrate Agentic AI for automation.

The role collaborates with product and operations teams in an Agile environment, focusing on high availability, security, and data-driven optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in Agile development, DevOps, or cloud engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EKS, S3, MongoDB, PostgresDB).
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration tools (Helm, Spinnaker, Istio).
• Experience with secrets management tools (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, CyberArk).
• Expertise with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for microservices on AWS EKS and OpenShift.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) for AWS resources.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes with Helm, Spinnaker, Istio.
• Integrate Agentic AI solutions and automation agents to streamline processes and drive adoption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver features.
• Troubleshoot and support production applications and infrastructure, with proactive problem-solving.
• Document solutions and translate technical capabilities into business value.
