Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Developer Infrastructure group in Atlanta. You will design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure, with ownership from architecture to production.

You will improve key engineering productivity metrics, lead cross-team design efforts, and mentor engineers while ensuring reliability, security, and observability at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software.
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals; Go or similar language.
• Reliability, security, and observability focus.
• Clear, independent collaboration across teams.
• Experience with CI/CD, build systems, deployment tooling.
• Experience at scale with Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and containers.
• Observability and performance tooling such as Datadog.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services.
• Improve build, CI time, deploy speed, safety, and test feedback.
• Own services end to end including architecture and on-call.
• Partner with engineering teams to drive platform improvements.
• Mentor engineers and shape platform direction.
