Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for Developer Infrastructure in the United States. You will design, build, and operate core services spanning CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.

You will own end-to-end services with a focus on reliability, security, and observability, mentoring engineers and driving platform improvements across teams. This role offers a remote-first culture with quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software with strong distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with Go or a similar language and backend/platform systems.
• Strong focus on reliability, security, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.
• Improve productivity metrics such as build time, deploy speed, and test feedback quality.
• Own services end to end including architecture, observability, SLOs, and on-call operations.
• Partner with engineering teams to turn pain points into platform improvements.
• Lead technical design for cross-cutting projects and drive them to production.
• Mentor engineers and shape the platform's technical direction.
