Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale our developer infrastructure, focusing on monorepo builds with Bazel, remote build execution, and fast CI pipelines. You’ll empower thousands of engineers to code, test, and deploy with minimal friction from NYC/DP offices.

You’ll optimize onboarding and provide remote development environments, enabling productive workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience building developer infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in Go or Python with clean, maintainable code.
• Experience with distributed or remote build execution and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize monorepo builds using Bazel and own the remote build execution cluster, ensuring fast, stable builds and short feedback loops for our engineering teams.
• Scale CI pipelines to support thousands of daily builds, focusing on speed, safety, and reliability, while managing GitHub repository configurations, pre-merge checks, and test executions.
• Improve the developer onboarding experience, reducing time-to-first-commit and making it easy for new engineers to get productive.
• Provide and maintain remote development environments to accelerate local workflows and ensure developers can code, test, and deploy with minimal friction.
