Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support the LTI product office across current programs and obsolescence mitigation efforts.

You will review requirements, qualification test plans, and participate in major engineering reviews to ensure hardware requirements are met throughout the lifecycle. The role demands broad engineering expertise, collaboration in fast-paced teams, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Systems Preferred) with 4 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience, OR PhD in lieu of relevant experience
  • Experience with hardware technical data packages, missile system hardware, engineering design reviews, and hardware integration.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Hardware Engineer Subject Matter Expert supporting LTI Systems Engineering on LTI managed PATRIOT Launcher and GEM-T Missile Programs
  • Provide technical support at Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, working groups, and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM)
  • Support major System Engineering reviews like Systems Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), and Critical Design Reviews (CDR)
  • Use engineering knowledge to ensure qualification test plans adequately test new hardware compliance to system requirements.
  • Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Request for Change (RFC) documentation to validate Technical Data Package (TDP) changes are accurate.
  • Research and develop Courses of Action to help government customers make informed decisions on emerging requirements and obsolescence mitigation efforts.
