Job summary

KBR is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to lead SE&I activities for software-intensive DoD programs. You will define, decompose, and validate requirements for prime contractor software and orchestrate integration back into DoD environments.

You will act as the Government's technical integrator across contractors and Space Force/DoD teams, driving interoperability, risk reduction, and production readiness in a highly collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering analysis and SE&I leadership for secure software applications supporting DoD mission planning and operations.
• Serve as the Government's technical integrator across Space Force/DoD product teams to ensure interoperability and data integrity.
• Lead Government coordination with primes to define mission use cases and system constraints.
• Develop and manage software and interface requirements for prime contractors, including interface definitions.
• Plan and oversee software integration into restricted DoD environments, including air-gapped deployments.
• Coordinate DevSecOps pipelines with DoD-aligned processes and automated testing.
• Define and lead software integration verification strategy and readiness for Government decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance integration reliability and sustainment readiness.
