Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Software and Data Engineer to support the Air Education and Training Command. You will develop, deploy, and sustain secure software and data solutions that enable training and data-driven decisions across the enterprise.

You will translate operational needs into technical designs, collaborate with government stakeholders, and contribute across Envision and Palantir Foundry platforms, following Agile practices and potential technical leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• 4 years industry/government experience developing, integrating, deploying, and sustaining enterprise software or data solutions.
• Experience with object-oriented software development and languages such as Python, TypeScript, Java, C#, JavaScript.
• Experience designing ETL processes, APIs, data pipelines, relational databases, data models, SQL queries, and data-quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, and sustain secure web applications, APIs, data services, dashboards, and other digital capabilities for AETC.
• Document requirements, support backlog refinement, and participate in Agile planning.
• Design architectures, data models, and data flows; create interface documentation and design packages.
• Build APIs, connectors, ETL pipelines, and data integrations across the enterprise ecosystem.
• Configure and develop data pipelines and dashboards within Envision and Palantir Foundry.
• Maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories; ensure data quality and security compliance.
