Axion is hiring a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to lead our backend teams building scalable, AI-powered data processing and service infrastructure that turns complex customer data into reliable outputs.

You will shape the architecture of our APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and agentic systems, translating ambiguous business needs into actionable technical direction and setting foundational choices that scale with the company.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience designing distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Experience deploying containerized apps on cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable AI-powered backend systems and data-processing workflows.
• Own reliability, deployment, observability, and production support of cloud-native services.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-team technical initiatives from architecture through production.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions with clear direction.
