Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall architecture for our back end system.
• Works closely with the Director of Big Data to design, develop, test and maintain back end systems.
• Provide unit tests for software applications.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary projects.
• Work with analysts creating cutting edge data mining algorithms.

Skills

Experience with enterprise level data architecture

Prior experience in Hadoop / MapReduce / Cascading / Hive / HDFS

Experience with large database interactions (Postgres)

Experience with highly scalable systems

Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly

Excellent problem-solving abilities

Excellent verbal and communication skills

Education
