Job summary

Apex Systems is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of integrated data solutions powering analytics, reporting, and AI-driven experiences. You will build scalable data foundations and enable self-service through AI-powered applications, semantic search, and knowledge retrieval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/IS/Engineering.
• 7+ years of data engineering, data architecture, or enterprise data platform development.
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency; experience with Snowflake/AWS/Azure and ETL/ELT orchestration.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI assistants, or conversational AI.
• Experience with BI platforms like Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for multiple B2B data products and enterprise reporting.
• Architect data ingestion, transformation, and storage across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Establish reusable data engineering standards and best practices.
• Develop curated enterprise datasets for dashboards, analytics, and AI initiatives.
• Design architectures supporting AI applications, conversational agents, and self-service experiences.
• Build and maintain RAG frameworks and semantic search capabilities.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data into AI-ready environments.
• Collaborate with AI teams to operationalize AI-driven use cases with governance and security.
• Define data layers for executive dashboards and KPIs.
• Implement data validation, monitoring, and observability.
