Job summary

Virta Health is seeking a data platform engineer to own foundational data infrastructure and govern the end‑to‑end data lifecycle for Member Marketing and Coverage Eligibility. Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering skills with production experience in APIs, event-driven architectures, or data integrations.
• Experience designing data-intensive systems where lineage, reconciliation, and recovery matter.
• Proactive ownership mindset and the ability to drive complex problems to completion.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted tooling and when to apply it to engineering tasks.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with Product, Data, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Design and own data contracts and processing semantics across identity, eligibility, and audience attributes.
• Build end-to-end observability and reconciliation showing how source records map to downstream outcomes.
• Lead technical discovery and delivery across data domains and partner integrations.
• Translate evolving audience and workflow requirements into reusable platform capabilities.
• Design for correctness and auditability in regulated data workflows.
