Job summary
Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineer, Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) for the Advanced Cross-Region Continuity (ACRC) team within Core Infrastructure Engineering. You will design and automate cross-region DR workflows, build readiness dashboards, and partner with multiple teams to ensure reliable regional recovery for critical services.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems, infrastructure automation, or platform reliability engineering.
- Experience building workflow orchestration, automation pipelines, or control-plane systems at scale.
- Strong proficiency in at least one systems or backend language (Java, Go, Python, or equivalent).
- Experience with observability tooling, telemetry design, and building operational dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cross-region continuity workflows and orchestration systems for DR activation sequences.
- Build validation frameworks and observability tooling to assess readiness.
- Collaborate with service-owning teams to define cross-system continuity contracts and readiness standards.
- Automate manual steps and document reasons, risks, and signals for success.
- Develop software with operational excellence, including runbooks, alerting, and deployment patterns for SRE/DevOps.
